Purplesmart, it’s often cause for concern if Anita Sarkeesian likes you.

Fuck this lady. She isn’t a feminist, she’s just someone who loves to find reasons to argue. And cheat people of their money. Even Tumblr doesn’t like her.

So I was looking back at this again and realized.  
Twilight Sparkle, through her own hard work and strong friendships was able to achieve an extremely high title without being born into it.  
And Sarkesian has a problem with this why?

Huh. Didn’t know that about Rome. I only knew that it was an Imperial Republic (because it had a senate in addition to an emperor) and it fell apart because of welfare (when people came to the coliseum they were given food, so they didn’t work as hard because they could just get food by visiting the coliseum).

The thing is that Equestria kind of has a system similar to Rome, or possibly modern China. Successors and those deemed powerful enough are groomed to lead something.

Which means that the Equestrian Diarchal Principality also includes the French type of prince. That is, until Cadence got the Crystal Empire (which is more of a province than an empire) and Twilight apparently has Ponyville (or the abstract “Friendship”) as their territories.

The most confusing part about all of this wasn’t that she hated the fact that she became a princess because of the many criticisms of that role in the past, but that it was undemocratic.
 
She apparently has never heard of a constitutional monarchy. Which Equestria isn’t either, it’s still technically a diarchy even with a third princess since that princess has no physical kingdom.
