I’ve been seeing these images of ponies with feminism/positive messages on them and I thought the idea was cute so I took a crack at one
You tell em Rainbow Dash!

I’ll give you the former, but people still haven’t become as lenient about the latter. Hence the phrase “man up” still being in use. There are bigger issues to deal with, I’ll admit, but that one would make a nice side project. And hey, dudes less focused on showing strength and proving they’re the biggest and toughest and in charge and all that bullshit and are able to accept their own weaknesses and those of others might make the other stuff go smoother.
Yet feminism is still called feminism.
For the only things that are feminine are things done by women, which you are, thus you are doing feminine things.
…To make more sense, the word “feminine” no longer has any place in the world. It was a concept thought up by people ages ago and it no longer holds any water. Similarly “masculine” is an unusable word nowadays too.
While I am bemuse by obsever’s and zennitrads apologetics, I’m more impressed with the fact those women still look plenty feminine while sporting those things. As a great man once said:
I love the kind of woman that can kick my ass.
And that’s what I think one of the good things about My Little Pony is.
It shows there are a lot of different ways to still be a girl. Quiet, loud, tomboyish, ladylike, smart, simple etc.
Trufax. I actually was just having a conversation with a (female) friend of mine about a song that I enjoyed and she enjoyed it, too, because it was about a woman that wasn’t acting very feminine and the guy liked her anyway…
Anywho, it expanded into a topic about, instead of both sexes being shoved into the traditional male gender roles, which is what militant feminists seem to want, every aspect of the traditional gender roles–both for men and women–should be considered optional. This is what gender equality feminists (the vast majority) want.
To be fair, “kind of a dick” isn’t in any gender role, and that’s really why Rainbow Dash is lower on best pony list.
I mean, she’s not the huge jerk that a certain writer likes to portray her as being, but she is kind of a dick.
Mostly because they believe that bronies are trying to turn FiM masculine (porn, grimdark fanfiction ect.), which I don’t believe is true but I can see how they came to that conclusion.
Then again, most feminists that believe that tend to fall into the tumblr crap category that I already mentioned.
Only when it benefits. But when demonizing people who watch FiM the first thing usually brought up is that they’re OLD and MALE.
Most feminists (not tumblr, twitter and jeezebel shit but the silent majority) actually encourage men to accept femininity because it benefits both men and women. if that was why you were calling them cancer.
Came in after the description was changed and missed it.
Not even feminine men. Just men who like feminine things.
How often have you heard the term “adult men” or “grown men” when people talk about bronies?
Yes, as our OP here has just graciously demonstrated.
Hardly trying to start stuff. It’s an observation when it comes to tumblr.
