Now you know it’s silly to assume that a stallion couldn’t ascend because he has a penis. Like seriously, where do you even get the justification for that? It’s a nonsense idea, especially since alicorns are seemingly ascended through merit.
It’s still hilarious to imagine Rising Star as an alicorn that’s hiding his gift.

Why not? Because we’ve only seen girl alicorns so far? We’ve literally only seen four, and the storybook about love poison showed there were more alicorns out there, so chances are there’s a male one in history.
