Can’t say I agree, plenty of people get along without consuming media like this, but is that simply because it’s possible for anyone to get along without it, or just for most people? I’d think the first (or at least a far more vast majority than those who think they can’t), but alas, I have no proof or evidence so no means by which to debate or persuade it, except that I simply prefer to believe that.
 
Also, Babs gets no love. She gets forgotten from the CMC’s way too much. Though I guess it’s probably for the better that she’s not hanging out with them this time…

Well we all have a darkness inside of us that if ignored will just build up endlessly.
 
that’s why we must placate it with fantesy in order to keep our dark sides from lashing out at real life beings.
 
In short venting in fantasy is better then doing things real… thus why I like seeing pictures like this.

Puritans banned bear trapping in some places, not because of the actual harm to the bear, but because the cruelty of it invoked a certain attitude in the trapper that they didn’t want people having.

Well if they were real I wouldnt want them to hang, but we can vent all we want on fantesy characters and no harm comes to anyone or anything real.

I’m disturbed by unwanted protrusive thoughts, that’s why I’m here in this comment section. Not because I like seeing the fillies hang. The fascination with hanging I have is grim, unhappy, and unwanted, honestly. It’s an anxiety-related ailment I detest having, and would gladly be rid of it in a moment if I could.
 
I’d have an assault rifle in hand to stop whoever wanted to see them hang, let me tell you…

Her neck would break before the rope did. If she did it hard enough she could even decapitate herself, but more likely she’d just break her own neck if she tried shooting off >.<

Yeah, that’s why watching the CMC hang would be awesome.
 
Although knowing Dashie’s flight power she could break the rope… or that is my theory. I’d say full restraints including wings and a garrote would work for her.

Well, yeah, she could hover for short bursts enough to not asphyxiate and pass out, but eventually she’d get too tired to keep doing those little bursts for air, so you’d really get to see her will break as exhaustion overpowers her attempts to keep breathing.
 
And Dashie couldn’t fly away since she’d still be tied to the gallow by the noose. She wouldn’t be able to untie anything ‘cause her hooves are tied. Make the rope short enough and she couldn’t get on top of the gallow either. It’s just fly to keep from suspending until she tires out, loses hope, and finally gives up and dies.

Well cannonly Scootaloo can only float a short time and not fly. I’d think that depending on the pegasus somepony like Dashie would just fly away and Buff Bicepts would take the tree/whatever with him.

Except you should mention it would be exhaustion that makes it so she can’t keep fighting it.
 
And I kind of wonder if it’d work like that to some extent with any pegasus. If their hooves are tied, they can’t get the rope off their neck, and they can’t hover forever because eventually they’ll tire out, especially if their wings are only partially clipped…
