If she can’t beat them, she’ll make them join her! The Queen is back and she’s learned a few tricks… turning the magic of friendship against the princess’s of Equestria, she’ll make them into her mindless obedient changeling underlings, can her friends save her? What will happen to Equestria without the power of the princesses to watch over them? D:
And now, trapping ponies in dreams-within-dreams they can’t wake from on their own is canon!
Woah
All creatures have to sleep at some point. And Luna seems to be omnipotent over dreams. So the solution would be to do what Dream of the Endless did to that one demon back when the gods were visiting to blackmail or entice him into giving over the keys to Hell: trap their minds eternally inside a box, inside another box, inside the Dreaming, and leave them there.
Alternatively, just do what he did to the son of the foolish sorcerer who had managed to ensnare him - put them in an eternal, infinite series of nightmare-within-nightmares, where each time they think they woke up, it’s just another descent further into Tartarus.
Mind/Dream/Night powers can be OP too, you know.
It’s proven that there are other creatures in the world that Changelings can feed off of. Changelingification could be possible only due to the commonalities ponies and Changelings have.
There’s the distinct possibility that Changelings are an offshoot race and thus, only ponies can be changed into them. Not, for instance, the loving, cat-like creatures that Chrysalis and her swarm destroyed in the comics.
There’s also another theory… Changelingification occurs after all love and feeling has been drained away, creating the emptiness that the new changeling is compelled to fill, repeating the cycle, like a virus.
I believe she will be able to defend herself.
That’s the stupidest racial trait ever. So what if there’s an equal number of Changelings and Ponies? They are doomed by either low birth rates or overpopulation.
But that’s the thing. All the princesses have great power. Luna is now one against four.
She’ll need to use craft, cunning, mystique and softcore guerrilla warfare (Softcore so as not to injure her fellow princesses) in order to get them back.
Principle still applies. It could be that’s their only means of reproducing.
Right. She is the most needed princess after all. Without her night, nocturnal ness would not thrive much. She may be the little sister but she holds great powers.
But I’ve seen some works where they do it to a mass number of ponies, so what the hell.
Luna would be hard-pressed though. Celestia had more power, Cadence more passion and Twilight tied with the Elements.
Luna would have to be extremely careful. If she falls… so falls Equestria.
Your perspective is a touch askew.
It’s not turning them all into a humans.
They’re selecting only powerful ponies. Princesses. To harness their power.
It’s like turning a few cows into master ranchers and slaughterhouse operators.
Well you obviously only do it to people who pose the greatest threat.
Like if your cows were super-powered or something.
R-Really?
A look of hope on my face.
You eliminate a pony, which is a source of food, and replace it with a Changeling, another thing that demands food.
That’s like if we started turning cows into humans.
That’s Cadence, off to the right. Luna’s the only one who can save the other princesses.
Runs away in tears.
And may its reign be eternal!
