Actually, the larger version of the previous picture makes it look very convincingly like she’s just resting on a pillow, in which case all that angle shows is that she still has thighs. (like she does in this picture.)
As long as we get art of this background pony, I guess I’m willing to let the canonical accuracy slide. I might put up some art of my own with her, not as an amputee.

If you’re referring to “this screenshot”:www.derpiboo.ru/590167, it’s debatable; looks more like a sort of pillow to me. Check the bottom part of the image, legs don’t work that way.
