Y’all, the Civil War bein’ about slavery is so much a done and settled issue, it was literally settled before the war even began, when seven of the eleven Confederate states clearly and deliberately listed racial slavery as the proximate cause in their official articles of secession.
People who go on an’ on about claptrap like “heritage not hate” don’t have the first friggin’ clue about their own damn heritage. Trying to whitewash one of the worst things America ever did is just plain dishonest, because we ain’t ever gonna rise above our own history if we’re too goddamn stupid to learn from it.
