I took half an hour out of my life to apply that tag to 58 pictures.
I think I could have been wittier, but oh well.
“Katawa Jinx”
Fukken nailed it.
It looks like we’ve found a compromise. I’ll get started on adding the tags.
It’ll probably end up being the same thing as “hootershy” and “boobs seed” tags if you get what I mean by that. Tags for people looks specifically for a certain version of the character. Only this one doesn’t involve tits.
Wait, is there a tag for Jinx with tits?
@Keith Mowz
Your example refers to a character who was first shown with crossed eyes. Jinx was first shown with legs. Your example is thereby irrelevant.
Like the other guy said. “Hey this character looks like they’re missing their legs. That’s different and interesting. Let’s explore the possibilities this presents us.”
Saying that’s stupid and shouldn’t be done is kinda like saying that Derpy shouldn’t be crosseyed, because that was just an animation error/background goof that wasn’t supposed to be visible.
She probably should have two tags, but maybe people figured that she’s such a minor character, she doesn’t need it. I dunno.
I for one think it’s a great idea, though, since people could just filter the amputee version (and I could filter canon Jinx). Simple solution, no complaints.
Also, if that were the case, wouldn’t Amputee Jinx be a separate character, therefore needing her own separate tag?
Does there have to be reason? Some guy just thought “hey, it kinda looks like this background pony has no legs, let’s draw that.” And then it got popular, so people drew it more. Simple as that. Same thing with say, Raricow.
You may not like amputee Jinx, but saying that her inception is “illogical” in the land of a billion and one headcanons that is the MLP fandom feels a little disingenuous.
I don’t know, I’m kinda on that guy’s side.
The logic behind it it’s really dumb if you ask me:
“Hey, this character was on a wheelchair for some reason, let’s draw her without legs.”
There’s no rhyme or reason for it.
I fail to see how there’s any difference? You make it sound like I’m somehow approaching this fictional horse with a hacksaw and removing her legs myself.
I hope you realise how it sounds when you say “She’s more interesting without her legs”…
Instead of chopping her legs off, why not just make an OC with her legs already gone?
Because it makes her more unique and interesting. There’s story potential and complexity you can get with an amputee in magical horse world that ‘pony who sits in a cart’ doesn’t aside from making jokes about ‘pony pulls the cart.’
We know she isn’t.
People just seem to prefer the headcanon that she is.
You are correct.
…
I care…
:(
See what I mean?
I pointed that out like 5 times already and all I got was a “filter it if you don’t like it”.
It’s a fucking lost cause.
Jinx fanart makes my day. Keep ’em coming, marvelous artists!~
lame..
