Well, I did some digging around, and Sundown’s reasoning for not liking Twilight is because he/she sees her as a Mary Sue. Because God forbid that there be a character in the show who has a talent she has to refine with constant study and practice.

I have the same feeling. Him not liking Twilight is news to me. It’s a shame he refuses to draw her as her outfit would have fit the theme of his drawings. He seams to over indulge in the bottom proportions (see Background Pony #EC1C for more detail) I swear Aj’s hips have been getting bigger.

Sundown is really starting to fall into some artistic traps on proportions. Hold your hand over Applejack and Rarity’s lower halves. Then do it for their upper halves. It’s like their two halves are drawn on different scales and stitched together. It continues to accentuate Sundown already drawing heads too small a lot of times, and super over-emphasizing the lower bodies of characters to the point they look deformed rather than curvy.

1)whatever “asinine little things he does” is not your bussiness  
2)you dont have a say in which characters he draws or doesnt. you are not paying him.  
3)saying something “deserved to be drawn” is like saying “because i say so”  
4)you dont have a say in how he draws whichever characters  
5)if you dont like a certain artist or his art, its not reason to shit on other’s parade, aka: 6)nobody cares about your opinion on stuff you dont like.  
7)“not doing so robs him of any respect” you have a pretty lousy definition of “respect”  
8)”…-like he degenerated into a fetish artist” you know he draws porn, right?  
9)“who’s not exactly talented in his field” what ‘field’ are you talking about?  
10)you following his art does not equeal he having to do what you like.

I like Sundown’s art, but the asinine little things he does like outright refuse to Twilight for some petty reason (considering she a) wore a uniform like the ones picture and b) it was actually more badass than the rest of these and thus almost deserved to be drawn with the rest of them), and his insane obsession with Applejack and making her look like a fucking chemical beaker is quickly knocking him down several notches.
 
He has the ability to make incredibly awesome characters (as seen thus and thus) and has shown to draw a pretty good Twilight in the past, but not doing so robs him of any respect and makes him seem like he degenerated into a fetish artist (who’s not exactly talented in his field), which is a crying shame considering some of my favorite Brony art is done by him.
 
Well, if he sticks down the path he goes, I’ll always have Dogz777.

I actually don’t give a crap about which artist draws which pony. That’s why I follow several artists.

For godsake, some people just don’t care for Twilight. Deal with it.
 
I don’t hate her at all, I think she’s a fine character, and the whole alicorn business has not ruined her if you ask me.
 
But I still don’t care for her.
 
I care about Fluttershy, I care about Rarity, I care about Applejack.
 
I’m fucking glad that there are artists like Sundown that did not jump on the Twilight bandwagon.

If you think about it, protagonists are “Mary-Sue” in some form, it’s just that the quintessential Mary-Sue is so obnoxiously Self-inserted, dramatic and corny, which I think Twilight is not. She is just your run-of-the-mill toyetic cartoon main character.
