Oh boy, good old fanfic drama.
For me the first two fics in the series are damn good. But then it kinda just dragged on and on with more complicated crap popping up. I quit after the Fluttershy monster thing.
Well, considering that during season 2 he was basically constantly reediting the story to fit new season 2 elements in (one of the aspects I really liked about it), I don’t blame him for trying to avoid watching season 3 until he was done (though he’s watched most of it now).
I was talking more about some of the… issues… he and the author of the Shining Armor arc had with each other. I don’t want to go into details, but it wasn’t fun bearing witness to.
Like the author refusing to watch the show because it would hurt his fanfic?
Maybe one is focusing on the Fanfic and the other on Fanart of the Fanfic?
I like the fanfic, dammit. The only part that really bothers me is that all the behind-the-scenes drama regarding certain arcs ended up becoming not so behind-the-scenes. Hoo boy, the stuff I could tell you about THAT…
I dunno. Personally I think after this point in the fic is when the story started to generally go downhill into crazy town.
