I really feel like I need to start drawing again, but getting so little feedback, regardless of what they think of quality, is discouraging.

Have you studied any perspective theory? Because i recently covered some of that with my art teacher so i might be able to give you a hand.
That and perspective are what I worry about…
And don’t forget to measure the proportions, or my art teacher will appear and tell you to erase and redraw the part you just spent five minutes shading!
O-okay….
Draw lots of different things. Bottles, cars, buildings, stone cat statues your aunt brought from her trip to Egypt, et cetera. More different curves and angles make an object more difficult to draw, but good for learnin’.
And vary the time you use for a single drawing. Do anything from quick one-minute sketches to five-hour drawings.

I draw circles. And sometimes my phone.
Art’s like any other skill in the world. You gotta work to get those skills, mate.
Yeah, been some help. It’s more an internal thing at this point, honestly.
Have you tried talking directly to some of the artists around here?
I’ve tried numerous places, and the one place I haven’t gone to isn’t really one I care to get involved with.
