“Hurt emotional feelings trump over physical injuries that require immediate attention” = BS in my book. I understand some people might be hurt by Peter’s decisions and yes he may have said things that might call for a slap. But slapping or hitting someone already injuried just is not the right thing in my book.
Sceranio: Batman (who is going out with Lois Lane) is injuried on the job, she just found that Batman is Bruce Wayne. Clearly, she is upset, does she hit him? Yes and no. She tends to the his injury first, cleans him up, and then slaps the bandage hard when it shows he is not suffering from anything critical.
It might have been best in that scenario if Twilight was bandaging Peter and then bop him on the head or slap on his back for whatever stupid thing he did. This signifies concern for his well-being even though he may have hurt her feelings. The picture above illustrates that Twilight is place her feelings above Peter’s physical injuries, when she could hav tended to his wounds while still be clearly upset with him.
The art itself, just try and slap someone (or pretend) while on your tippy toes. Hardly any weight to do that and still maintain balance. Also, the calves on Twilight looks really odd.
Twilight’s position looks a bit off to me here in general, but yeah, the slap is kinda strange.
For one, judging by the little action shadow there, it looks like she’s slapping down. Which is pretty strange considering a slap would usually be across the face. It also looks like she stepped on her tip toes to deliver the slap. I’d imagine she could have simply extended her arm out and slapped horizontally…
Mostly, I’m having trouble buying the scenario this is presenting me with. Peter’s normal, human girlfriends having an issue with his crime fighting, sure. I can understand them wanting a normal boyfriend after a while, but Twilight knows what it’s like to have power and a responsibility to put herself in harms way…
Actully, no… now I’m wondering if Peter did one of those “It’s too dangerous for my magic girl friend to get involved, I’m going on without here” and Twilight’s ticked off that he’d make that decision for her. In which case, the slap makes sense to me.
It must be me being a jerk though…also when did Peter lose his tan and turned completely white?
Not a total failure(I like Twilight’s design) overall but plenty of flaws if squint your eye…I mean look at it more then 5 seconds.
If I am judging to harshly, just replaying stuff in my head that was learned in animation and gesture drawing.
Get your shit together, girl.
