Yo I’m the guy who posted this and I’m just gonna say this: my big issue is that he lied to his team and he lied to his fans that have been supporting his awful film. If it weren’t for this, I would be fine with this because everyone makes dumb mistakes but here he KNEW he made a mistake and rather than acknowledging it like a man he is making bullshit up to try and hide his case and removed the video without consulting anyone else who worked on it.

Let me revise that last part because I don’t really think I was fair, I do think art is important. The thing that drives me batty is how disproportionately artists view the significance of every little thing they do and how their industries have screamed and shouted and lobbied enough for shit like the FBI getting super cereal about movie piracy with $500,000 movie fines and shit. And plagiarism, Jesus, I get that it’s not cool but you people are fuckin bananas with the hysterics about it. I could understand if this guy was some serial plagiarist or something, but as far as I can tell, one of the people on his team might’ve gotten lazy and used leaked puppets for the male ponies. Something he could probably go back and just delete right out of the scenes without even noticeably changing anything.
 
Maybe it’s expected of him to be responsible for his team, I’m sure it’s some sloppiness on his part if it’s even true at all, maybe the school would be pissed, maybe hasbro would give a shit and pursue it (doubt it), but whatever the case, it sure as shit not a job for /mlp/, and it’s definitely not some big ethical controversy.

If this guy’s right, then this is a big deal. I looked up to that guy and hoped to do my own (much better) animation. And now I find out he possibly stole rigs, that changes a heck of a lot. But he can’t be blamed if Hasbro are trying to take it down. It is certainly unfair though on the many people that were part of it.

This is ridiculous. The only people who care about DRB were involved in the creation of DRB.

What’s the point even? I mean, even if they’re right and he took it down for legal reasons, then Hasbro’s not going to let him keep it up anyway.
 
If some other people that worked on it are upset, it is understandable but maybe this would be a situation in which it would be better to let them work it out between themselves instead of making a public shaming thing that wouldn’t be able to accomplish anything?
