Special when lit
I thought Discord was a bit goofy looking, but fitting for the spirit of chaos. I didn’t really like the diamond dogs design either and still don’t care much for them.  
This thing, however, I really REALLY hope (if he makes it into the show) he’ll be the greatest villian ever– because as far as looks go at this point, I’m really not digging it.  
At all.

Honestly, I, and I’m sure several others, were disappointed with Discord’s design, too. But then we all came to love him when we saw him in action. That’s why I’ve withheld judgment on this character that we’re not even sure will appear in the show.

I would love it if it turn out the guy is a total sissy, or the mane six doesn’t view him as a treat at all. I think that would be funny.

I’ll admit that I was one of the whiners in Panel 3 (The “SHITTIEST OC EVER” guy), but I’m more willing to give him a chance now. However, I still maintain that he doesn’t look like he’d be all that great as a main villain. He’d make a better evil henchman character.
