Just want to say I’m impressed that you admitted to overreacting. There’s been too much overreacting on both sides of this issue.
 
Anyway, about the advisability of Meghan McCarthy’s tweet saying Dreamy Cutebottom wouldn’t be in S4: If she had kept silent, the past 8 months would have been filled with some fans fuming and raging about his inevitable appearance in the show. Sure, she could’ve tweeted, “He’s not appearing as a character in S4, unless some animator adds him into a scene after the episode leaves my hands,” but really that should’ve been self-evident. If the staff are going to have to start qualifying everything they say about the show with “in my opinion” or “as far as I can control”, then they’re understandably not going to enjoy interacting with the fans as much.

The side of the argument that’s gone around to browbeat anyone who dislikes this, even for the most mild of reasons. Sometimes, before actual reasons get said. And the escalation that comes about as a result. And then complain about the arguing.

I would love to see more of Flash Sentry in future episodes. Maybe they’ll even slip in one of their ‘animation errors’ and ‘accidentally’ make him an Alicorn in the background.
