Bon Bon watched as the talking mint-green pony rode her giggling roommate around the living room for a while, then turned around to watch the walls breathing. Strangely enough, the shadow made by the potted plants looked exactly like the mouse on the stickers Zecora had told her to lick.

i’m pretty sure the lyra/human thing was like the second meme created in the fandom, like directly after derpy came about.  
it’s been around for as long as the fandom.
