I was mostly frustrated because nobody explained anything until the prologue was over. I was like: “Where’s Rei?” “What happened to Unit-01?” “Is Kaworu gonna screw over everyone again?”
then again I marathoned all of nge episodes and the one movie plus the rebuilds in one day and since then I’ve never been quite the same.
I didn’t feel frustrated at the newest rebuild so much as I wanted to tear my eyeballs out from the massive amounts of brainscrewing.
This is worse than sitting through the first 40 minutes of Rebuild of Evangelion 3.0!
