B!

B - doesn’t have to actively be about a character dieing, but about characters that may already be dead. That comic about Grannie-Pie would make a fine episode, especially the fact that it’s AJ providing the exposition makes it the perfect opportunity to clear some of that air on the status of her parents…but there is potentially just too many “feel bads” there due to the presence of her younger sister. I mean…really, both parents in such a short time?! fuck…

Either drugs or sexual frustration. Mad parents gon b mad.

B. We need some friggin’ backstory for Applejack’s parents, and she needs more episodes.

B. Sesame street managed to kill someone, and I want them to acknowledge that AJ’s parents are deeeaaaad.

A- Nah  
B- It’s a kid’s show first and not made by disney  
C- Not made by nikelodeon, hannah barbara or disney  
D- Plausible, but already done like you said, and you forgot Gilda.  
E- Their economy already makes no sense  
F- Fanon covered it.
 
Plus, their real world problems are small things blown to unnatural proportions. Think of something very, very simple…and then go bonkers with it.

I can think of potentially good plots based off of these ideas, but I think they’d feel out of place within the series.

Maybe the creators can ease into it. Gradually making it darker in a subtle fashion. In other words, trying to make it natural.

Item (B) might make for a bold, classic episode, but I see no way for it not to be drastically out-of-tone for MLP. Item (E) sounds like it could lead to anything from adventure to hijinks, so I’d go with it.

I actually wish it would cover B. Children don’t have much stuff with that content, and I think MLP could find a safe and good way to handle it.
