Actually, given that we already have one villain confirmed to have been based on a Trek one it’s not much of a stretch to imagine the MLP writers were inspired by those, and probably the Borg too (Chrysalis in particular seems half Female Changeling, half Borg Queen). Has there been any official word on that?
Oh wow, I didn’t know that. I honestly thought MLP made it up.
