Sorry, wasn’t trying to insult you. I’m insulting our society’s attitude of “Oh no, that adult male is standing within 20 feet of a child! PEDOPHILE!!!”
You insult me and expect me to take you seriously?
Aren’t you a card.
No, is actually to show the kid getting his pony plushie
I’m from outside America, and I can tell this is quite creepy.
Well it was pretty innocent. Seriously. To anyone outside of America (where the media push a strange paranoia of pedophiles so hard that a dad can’t take his kids to the park and take pictures of them without some idiot calling the caps) this picture is completely innocent.
To any sane and rational person? No.
But I blame the media for that being in such short supply these days.
Because taking a picture of a small boy doesn’t set off twenty warning bells in itself, does it?
Seriously, I get that the intent was innocent, but it’s still a little creepy.
Because if I was his mom/guardian and saw someone take a pic of my kid, my first thought wouldn’t be “oh, he’s just going to put it on a pony site for people to go ‘aww’”?
Why? What’s creepy about a boy buying a pony plushie?
To be fair, assuming this is taken in America, taking a picture of a random kid sets off the stalker alarm in most people.
Why? Kid does something cute and they take a picture. He could have been a friend of the guy with the fro. He could have just worked there. He could have been a she and there with their own kid.
How many assumptions do you have to make to assume that would be creepy?
