Luna wasnt a tyrant, nightmare moon was.

I’ve always liked Celestia more.

But Anon, Celestia is my waifu. Not Luna.

Though I guess I shouldn’t care, nothing’s ever good enough for Anons. You really shouldn’t complain to us oveer reading stuff you don’t like. Make a selection and read the creative, good, new stuff. ‘Cause baby we don’t care if you torture yourself, we don’t care if there are bad writers ‘cause we know, but you should be stupid to go out your way to read them. We can’t change them. (Hey, I’m practically rhyming!)

I hope he does. Its been half a day.

I was there during season 1 and i don’t understand. Well, I understand that people made Luna into their perfect imaginary nerd girlfriend that will never dump them. And when she turned out to not be meek and quiet, they made her into boisterous gamer chick, so she could still be their waifu.  
And then ‘creative juices’ started flowing and created TO THE MOOONAH BITCH meme and thousand copycat fanfics. And then everyone and their dog jumped on the ‘true art is angsty and anti-establishment’ bandwagon and New Lunar Republic started. And no, it’s quite frequently not memes showing love. It’s very frequently fandumb hate (ever read Ardun Lleud or whatever it was called? or Sunset?) because ‘ONE THOUSAND YEARS!’ and ‘shes white and therefore blonde and therefore evil. and shes big and generally on powertrip’. People frequently take this fucking seriously. Oh, and it stopped being creative or funny by about fifth ‘security (Celestia of course) vs freedom (Luna Sue)’ fic and second ‘TO THE MOOONAH’ joke. Now it’s just bunch of monkeys parroting other monkeys who in turn are parroting other monkeys who… Well, you get the idea.  
Oh, and a fun fact: nowadays, I can randomly choose 5 dark/sad fanfics and at least 4 of them will be all about Celestia being evil/incompetent or somehow responsible for everything evil that has happened on the show.  
It will usually be done in order to make Celestia a foil to Luna Sue - who is made into a little flawless doll, while completely ignoring the characterization she was given on the show.  
My point is, this whole trollestia/tyrantlestia shit is boring. And uncreative. Artists are repeating slogans and tired cliches instead of thinking something new. And delivery is, quite often, subpar. Egophiliac stopped doing cute interactions between Luna and Celestia for this reason, i think - they were getting boring and trite. But artists who are into tyrant Celestia? Naaaaah, as long as they can get some retards to clap their hands and give favs they will keep doing it.

If you weren’t there during season 1 you wouldn’t understand. Of course we were all in love with Luna (a Woona version was all we had then). Creative juices flowed into a lot of alternate interpretations and darker and more serious stories.
 
@Zombie Making fun of her does not mean that anyone hates her. Trollestia, tyrantlestia etc. are just memes that show that the character is loved.

Because people hate Celestia for the dumbest reasons.

I never understood how the idea of republic was associated to a character that very likely would act like a tyrant much more than Celestia.
