“Robin” can be a female name (actress Robin Wright, reporter Robin Roberts, radio personality Robin Quivers); in fact, in the USA, it’s more often a female name. And “Douglas” is a reasonably-common family name.

I’ve found most of the names actually quite fitting, if not even more so. Pinkie’s felt a little odd to me, but more because I felt that it was more because Pinkie’s one of those characters you can’t really just stick a normal name on :/. I’m pretty good with it all, overall.

Okay, I get what you mean, but the context of MMDW, Mare-Do-Well was made to teach Dash a lesson in humility and, if you ask a cynic, to spite her. I’m not sure how it’d connect to MMDW.
