What balls are you even tripping? I came in here to post “PONIES AREN’T BABY HORSES!” with a picture of Calvin’s class shouting at him from that one comic where he thinks bats are bugs, but then there was this barky anon being a rag about it; I’m not even one of the downvotes, the concept is funny even if the execution is flawed. Who exactly is “going out of their way to be a whiny POS” again? Go put some ice on that inflamed thing, sheesh; P♠M clearly has a headache already.
Also, bitchy anons are, objectively, the lowest form of life on the internet, and their opinions are inherently worthless.
Oh, him. Fortunately he’s already on my block list so I don’t see his comments. It helps preserve my sanity a bit.
Oh, almost forgot
>Disregarding points solely because they were made by anons.
>almost 2014
>Not using filters
>Going out of your way to be a whiny POS instead of using the filters
No, no, they’re right, generating image macros does not qualify as making art. Biting art, maybe.
Oh, also, thanks for clarifying that you’re a coward with an account and not just an idiot who can’t make one, that’s a useful and important distinction.
Umm, thay ARE artist.
Sorry, I don’t argue with people named TheAntiCat. Clearly that invalidates anything you had to say.
PS. I have an account - I just don’t post with it.
no amount of text can make you an artist. people who make text are called writers or authors, not artist.
Get a freakin’ account and then argue.
How much text? What quality of text?
Would a poem pasted over an existing image deserve an artist tag? What about an entire original fanfic (not that I would ever condone such an abominable format)? What about a really shitty greentext story? Where do we draw the line between image macro and unconventional art?
Fortunately I don’t have to worry about such things as I have no control over the rules anyway, but it still seems to set a bad precedent.
I’m not saying that, you are putting word in my mouth.
I’m saying taking some image you didn’t make and just adding a little text doesn’t make you an artist.
It was simply that, just adding text to an already made image doesn’t make you an artist.
I’m just saying that going around and telling people “no, you aren’t skilled enough to call yourself an artist” is kind of shitty. I couldn’t care less whether the mods happen to agree with you. Of all the abuses of the tagging system which occur on this site, excessive artist tags are probably the single least problematic.
Also, shit like >>501309 gets an artist tag. If you’re going to have silly rules, at least enforce them consistently.
Dude, if even the mods think just adding text to an image doesn’t me someone deserves to tag themselves as the artist then I’m not doing anything wrong.
I’m glad we have you here to decide what is and isn’t art. Have you considered going and telling all those silly modern artists that they’re wrong, because you should really get on that…
I like that interpretation. It does seem to me horses in the show are a separate race and not just tall or mature ponies.
