We’d get work off, because we can’t afford to spend money on plows and salt for snow and icestorms that don’t happen often in the Southeastern US.
But it drops below freezing frequently enough to freeze any rain on the road, and it’s usually rainy enough to put a lot of rain on the road. So it ends up being dangerous to drive, but inconsistently dangerous enough to not close everything.
You put six inches of snow on the streets and hail in the air though, and we just couldn’t deal. We’d shut down everything.
I’ll take that trade.

It’s going to be dry and mild for the next month or so here in California. I’d kill for some moisture.
