I like the use of the word, just because I’m fond of Latinate polysyllabism.
On the other hand, reducing points by 10% punishes those who have been diligent in collecting more points. Making sure that penalties are set out beforehand, so that everypony knows what to expect, keeps Tavi from applying penalties unfairly and helps people know what’s expected of them. It’s not the most pleasant part of writing a charter, but it’s a necessary one.

Sorry, the way the meaning has mutated is a pet peeve of mine. I mean, it’s right there in the word. Decimate. Deci. To centimate would be to remove one one-hundredth, to millimate one one-thousandth.
