If you’re truly concerned about appearances, mask it with less “controversial” items, stuff deemed manly, like shaving cream, razors, or beer. Or buy lighter fluid and matches to create the illusion of intending to burn it. Or pass it off as it being a gift for someone else. Or just walk around with it under arm and just not care what others think. Plenty of options.

Finally found Celestia and Cadance at a semi-local Walmart, just a day and a half ago. I’ve never been a big fan of the noodle-like mane and tail hair Funrise does with their plushes, but for ten dollars, one can’t really complain. Certainly beats the two thousand dollars or more I’ve contemplated dropping for some of the top-notch Celestia plushes.

And compared to custom, they’re not expensive at all.

Queen Chrysalis is in the “favorites” package, which sells well. Also selling well whenever I see them are the Nightmare Moon and Shadowbolt brushables.
 
Turns out little girls will buy “dark” dolls, as long as they’re evil.
