Yeah, Fleecs is not bad. Many of his covers are rather good. And considering that he’s being asked to draw 32 pages of pony in about a month, of course there’s going to be pages when it will be off. (eg the Rarity face from the FS micro).
 
I will say its fair that there’s a bit of “vacant look” going on with this comic, however, but its not like the rest of the bodies or faces are bad - and there’s some rather decent panels that are clearly the ones he focused on making sure looked good.

Comments I’ve read say people do like his work. In fact, some folks prefer him to Andy because his art has been more show-accurate (I prefer Andy Price, myself, but Tony Fleecs is good too).
 
Really, MLP:IDW hasn’t had a bad artist yet. No, not even Thom Zahler (though he is the weakest artist so far).
