Actually, Al has done voice acting before. Not much, but I know of at least a couple of times. And back when there was a Weird Al Show for a season on Saturday morning, part of it included a cartoon called Fatman.

Considering how many times in the past the show has contradicted itself or just plain ignored potentially-thorny issues, I can’t understand how Princess Twilicorn Sparkle is the one thing that breaks the believability of a show about magical, multicolored marshmallow ponies.

Yeah, I got tired of all the genuflecting the rest of the cast did towards Twilight in the animatic previews from SDCC, and that tea party with Princess Cadance was just too frou-frou.

You know what? I’m even more confinced now that it’ll be Weird Al. Not only did he recently appear again in Adventure Time as banana man, Steffan Andrews (the music guy) also mentioned he knew which episode Meghan was talking about.

Kind of unsure how much capacity DHX can hold. It certainly affected the most recent season, but maybe they’d be smart enough to hire enough people who would work solely on that show. Maybe…

Well, they’ve already established EQG as a spinoff universe, complete with its own alternate-universe Mane 6, in a world that’s basically the same as Equestria, only seperate.
 
If they really want Equestria Girls to be a thing, they can easily make a spinoff series without really being a thing that affect the main show.

@Beau Skunky Ah. Well the example (or at least the phrasing) presupposed one hadn’t had to deal with such a thing. That is, there’s no need to ‘imagine’ such an event at all.
 
 
@Zennistrad Maybe not, but Hasbro really wants to cater to that crowd badly, probably because they’re absolutely stupid with money. There’s a good possibility increasing with each season that if they renew the show the next time is when they try to turn it into 26 episodes of Equestria Girls instead of an actually decent show. They want Barbie/Hello Kitty money right the hell now without taking time to build up a fanatical install base.

Mainly because it isn’t going to stop the series from being funny and having good characters.

I am American actually, and I am aware every president gets hated by half the country. I was just using that as an example of something people complain about randomly. Years back, I had a friend who’d always pester me about how much they hated Bush Jr. all the time, and I got kinda sick of it honestly.
