Gumball and his mom are cats, and his sister and dad are rabbits. Darwin was their pet goldfish, but he spontaneously grew legs one day, could breath without water, and is now their adopted son/brother (yeah the pun on his name is pretty obvious).
What gender/race (i mean cat/dog/whatever not white/black) are they supposed to be anyway?
I picture it more of a darwin thing.
