Regarding the Star Wars one: Fuck Auteur Theory! Someone whom is a creative visionary does not mean that they are always right.
 
George Lucas was a visionary…who happened to suck at getting his vision made. Go watch the end of Mr Plinkett’s Episode 1 review to see what I mean.
 
To relate this to our fandom, yes we can all agree that Faust was an important part of what made the show great, but she was not the be-all-and-end all of said greatness (and she herself would agree).

Oh it was never a good show for social commentary. The main stance is to criticise each and every side regardless of whether or not it makes sense to do so. Which basically just kinda makes them dicks.
 
It can still be funny sometimes. But for the most part its pretty poor, and i get the impression the creators think they are a lot clverer than they actually are (i remember finding their opposition to family guy’s random cutaways amusing, because they basically do the same but without the cutaways to justify the weirdness).

It’s nothing more than a straw-man argument. The points it makes are about as valid as stuff like “all bronies are autistic neckbeards who wear fedoras and can’t talk to girls”.
