Look up The NeverEnding Story, it’s a book and movie…
Well you kind of have to see that in context, you have to be watching the whole movie, sure being older takes some of the sadness out but seeing the scene on it’s own is not going to make it work.

It’s cheesy in terms of SFX by today’s standards but the story is good. (To note, it is a movie adaption of a rather intelligence young adult novel, and only covers about 1/2 of the book).
Bastian, a bullied kid, finds a book “The Neverending Story” about a fantasy world being torn apart by the Nothing, following Atreyu and his horse Artax as they try to find the reason behind it; but as he reads, he finds that actions he’s done (while reading) have been occurring in the book.
(“Read It And Weep” uses familiar music from the movie at the point where RBD is about to open the book).
Just IGNORE the sequels. Nostalgia Critic will tell you that.
It’s hard to explain, better read it yourself. But I think I can promise this: you won’t be disappointed.
It’s something that happens in it, one of the heros has a horse named Artax, they go to a swamp that you get stuck in and drowned if you are sad(the swamp makes you sad) if you don’t overcome it, Artax didn’t.

But seriously, what’s this about? I’ve heard of The Neverending Story, but I have no idea what it is about.

Now you can make your friends that are fans of the neverending story sad while making your brony fans sad as well.
