They had a choice, all of them. They could have followed in the footsteps of good ponies like President Truman. Decent ponies who believed in a day’s work for a day’s hay. Instead they voted for Nixon. They followed the tumblrs of cloppers and communists and didn’t realize that the trail led over a precipe until it was too late. Don’t tell me they didn’t have a choice. Now all Equestria stands on the brink, staring down into bloody Tartarus, all those alicorns and intellectuals and smooth ponies… I have seen Ponyville’s true face. The streets are extended parties and the parties are full of rainbows and when the drains finally overflow the accumulated friendship of all their love and tolerance will foam up about their waists and and all the ponies and parasprites will look up and shout “save us!” And I’ll look down and whisper “Nixon always wins.”
