to be fair cartuneslover16 has always been a pretty good artist… she just makes really bizarre crossovers, most of which don’t even work.

the style CL is trying to emulate has subtle anatomical landmarks that he/she missed.
 
look at the arms, body/head shape… and the overall proportions…  

 
and if he was trying to go for his/her own take on it, CL totaly forgot the character composition, which make it looks bland and “meh” at best.  
this is basic designing knowledge.
 
and cartoons do require anatomical correctness to stay in the intended model they were designed whit :V

That moment when the crossover reference is either obscure or you simply ignore it and believe it’s a reference to something different.  
Seriously, I actually believed it was a reference to the Snake Club from Billy & Mandy, although my memory is mot good at all (HSS in my head stands for Hidden Snake Society)  
But it’s impressive how good can Cartuneslover be when he doesn’t shoehorns the crossover and either actually makes it work, or it can simply blend with the source material.
 
tl;dr I thought it was a Billy & Mandy pic, Shy is freaking hot, cartuneslover did a really nice pic.

I’m conflicted. I actually like the art and the Monsters University reference… but I just noticed it’s by the person who does all those really unnecessary crossovers and crack shippings like Mordecai and Twilight.
