Is TRI-APPLE something from the newer pokemon games?

Points if you know who Tom Ato is.
I actually figured out an easier way to catch bees in “New Leaf.” when they start to come on-screen, press left/right on the control + pad, and they’ll stop a brief moment, keep doing that ‘till they get close enough. (It’s easier if you have them below/south of your character, sense your character automatically faces forward when changing items.)
Haven’t tried it in “City Folk” though.
I don’t know at least Beedrill can be caught.
Still not as bad as-
Power, Wisdom, and Apples.
At lest it was normal bees, not Beedrill…
