I think there are two ways to go out in this world.
 
1.Go out guns blazing to protect those you care about.
 
2.Live your full life happy with those who are around you and wait until you fall asleep to never wake up again with no regrets.
 
That is how i want to leave this world and mabey countless other people who think the same way.

While I think her dying would have made for a stronger ending, I always pictured Celestia as somebody who doesn’t cry about people who die of old age anymore, as she has long since come to grips that death is just another aspect of life.
