Hrm. You know I could get by the headcanon that Vinyl maybe had lack of parents or inattentive parents. So some of her antics are just for attention and enjoying the rise she gets out of Octavia in a childish way.

I rode the back of a shopping cart full of stuff down 3/4 of a lane in a parking lot at walmart. When my friend caught up with me at my car he told me a bunch of people that saw me doing that were cheering.
 
It’s okay to grow up, just never forget how to have fun even if it seems a bit childish.
