I know that. But I thought that, what she meant by that, the EQG characters weren’t the counterparts of any of the background ponies. And thus, “Now they can draw pony versions of the students and EQG versions of background ponies.” That’s why I didn’t say that Mystery is Star Swirl’s counterpart herself.
 
I also don’t recall her saying anything about relatives.
 
Besides, does this Star Swirl really count as a background pony when she hasn’t appeared in the show at all?

Due to the way Mystery looks, it got me thinking her pony counterpart could be Star Swirl’s twin sister.

Except she has a mane and tail style already on her box. She’s not a recolor, she’s got her own vector.

I’d say she is most likely a unicorn.

You know what this means? We can work out the pony Star Swirl’s mane and tail style out if her human counterpart. Now fanartists can draw her more accurately as a pony.
