Man, I’ve been wanting to say something like that for a long time because I feel that it explains why there’s so much drama and bitching and moaning when something new comes along. We (collectively) love the show and don’t want it to change.
I myself have come to the conclusion that change is good because it shows that Hasbro Studios, DHX and the staff are keeping up interest in MLP.
… I could see that happening, actually.

I was being facetious.
I said, some of the people in this fandom, not you specifically.
Nu! We wuvs pone!
Therefore, we are always cheerful and optimistic!
And we know to appreciate the gift* that is ponies,
And to not look a gift
ponyhorse in the mouth!*Particularly since so many of us watch the eps on youtube for free ^^
True, it would be stressful to me, having to put up with some of the people in this fandom.
I have to imagine that everyone who works on FiM in some way enjoys it. Even with all of the revisions and stuff.
I imagine it’s overwhelming, but I wouldn’t call it a nervous breakdown. I saw it more as a bit of annoyance at being asked the same thing by so many people.
You tend to look at the negative, which is only half of it. It’s said that the opposite of love is not hate, but indifference. No matter how people feel about any given thing, it’s clear that a lot of us care quite a bit about the characters and the show. That’s why, we fans—browsing a pony image site—get really excited or really nervous for the future.
From what I’ve understood, it’s not a common thing to get so much attention for making a cartoon. How many animators/writers/etc. will get a chance to be a part of something so huge?
Also, while there will always those that complain, I’ve noticed that she gets a much higher ratio of positive attention. :)
@Fortune
Think about it. She signed on to do a cartoon, not deal with unpleasable fans all day. Moreover, she seems to have some compulsion to make things right and make it so that the fandom trusts/likes her, but to no avail.
She must look at her mentions every day with dread. I can’t imagine any other emotion that she would feel as often as that one. Well, maybe anxiety. She did seem like she was going to have a nervous breakdown when people kept asking her about Sunset Shimmer.
Oh I feel you on that.
Love her or hate her, she has to open up her computer every day and just say “Fuck…”.
Why?
Explain, please? :s
You mean Wysteria?
Good for you.
You already did.
Boy, did that turn out well.
But a certain contingent have been lighting their torches and sharpening their pitchforks to cry “Ruined Forever!” at the first mention of news, no matter how nitpicky or minor.
