Nothing, it’s just a example to the point - while CURRENTLY it doesn’t have anything wrong with it, because it was given in the context of “hey, how’s this for a name?”, the CONTEXT of the example (that you quoted) was: Imagine if you took that name, and then declared THIS IS HIS NAME. NO ARGUMENT. DING DONG BANNU IF U NO AGREE TO HEADCANNON, then created several sockpuppets to agree with you, and you’d get the worse of 4chan /mlp/ naming threads
 
basically: forcing a name you made just because YOU, YOURSELF like it without waiting for debate or agreement shouldn’t be how we should do this. if you want a personal headcannon name? fine. If you don’t want to follow the popular name for x reason? also fine, provided you realise derpibooru might tag the subject udner it’s popular name.

Generally speaking, Using 4chan to get a name can either be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on where/what you ask. You usually get a fairly decent name (like the whole Fizzle thing), but if you mess up you could be stuck with a random name that is coined for him which catches on because they force it… for example, what MonkeyDzyrax was going to do, except several degrees worse.

I’m pretty sure there needs to be a general agreement before doing something like that. Take Fizzle’s sudden large popularity, for example. He also had the fan name “Puff”, but now that he’s suddenly getting a lot of art, it seems that the general decision was made for Fizzle. So work hard to create something popular using the name Mizragon and that dragon’s name will be yours! (Though, probably not by using 4Chan. Somehow I doubt that would work twice…)

Well, considering in-epsiode his flame breath was kind of devistating, I was going to call him Halitosis (which would be a double pun between a name, Hal, and a medical term for bad breath)
