The only part of this I don’t like is the last paragraph, because it clashes with my headcanon of Sunset Shimmer being the kind of villain who is incapable of redemption and only gets worse as time passes. I still say that Heel Face Turn is an act.
Yes, it was moved from Canterlot to The Empire.
Not as far as I know. Given that the Empire had the Crystal Heart, it seems reasonable to assume that it has artifacts of its own.
Hadn’t the mirror recently been brought to the Crystal Empire? (I might be wrong here).
Here’s the bigger question: If the portal used a mirror in the Crystal Empire, how did she go through it in the first place?
XD
That got a chuckle out of me! Seeing as how that ship has died long ago, it would be “late Bloomer”, eh?
The second one, although the first one is good.
…how ’bout Bloomer?
The first piece or the second?^^
And what would that ship even be called? Blueshimmer? Sunblood?
Oooooooh! I like that!
Maybe Blueblood’s a dismissive coward toards mares because his ex, Sunset Shimmer, was abusive and power-hungry… wouldn’t that be weird..?
How about this: The last time the portal was open was shortly after Twilight et al defeated Nightmare Moon. Sunset Shimmer, confronted with Twilight earning all the fame and glory she unknowingly gave away when she quit being Celestia’s student, snaps and leaves through it. In the human world she stirs in her anger and loathing, until after 30 more moons the portal opens once more…
Depending on how long the portal remained open and the lapse of time before she stole the crown, she might have had enough time to gather enough intel to discover its existence and location?
I’ve only watched the movie once and can’t recall those 2 details.
…Maybe she beat up Blueblood… XD
You know, I actually forgot that bit about Magic having been a mystery at first. Which just makes this whole thing even more incoherent. I doubt Celestia would have just told her, that seems wildly out of character for her.
Exactly. But I must assume that the sixth element is unknown at the time SS originally left Equestria because when Twilight reads about them in the “Elements of Harmony” book in S1E2, she reads: “There are six Elements of Harmony, but only five are known: Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Honesty and Loyalty. The sixth is a complete mystery.” (and other such references in that episode).
I don’t think that SS would’ve been able to discover the sixth element because it took the actual bearer to figure it out.
…Unless Celestia told her, but I consider that the easy way out… :)
Presumably she read about in the same book Twilight did. But of course, that would mean her first move would have been to go straight to the Everfree…
True but that’s part of the fun, right?
I have one question:
How did Sunset Shimmer KNOW about the Element of Magic when it wasn’t known to exist prior to Twilight’s rediscovering it when she defeated Nightmare Moon?
It doesn’t look like she had a lot of time to research it when she came back to Equestria…
Spending years deprived of her powers, her history, and even her very body was probably not healthy.
Which still doesn’t explain why she went to the human world in the first place, but why her mind seemed to go downhill is hardly surprising.
I do. I give her a week before she cuts the principals throat and runs away from whatever underwhelming punishment they stuck her with.
No? Just me?
