I feel your pain. Trying to capture and edit together some of these events frame by frame is tedious. We appreciate all the hard work you do to put these maps together for us. Thank you.
Wow, I never thought to use an addon to get to the inspection feature. Cool. On Chrome you can inspect a page with ctrl+ Shift+C. I did notice recently that a bigger resolution monitor will boost what shows up in game, really helps.
Dude, if you sign up for VK.com and join the pony.town community page, they actually post high resolutions of the current season maps on there. The VK pt community is mind-blowingly big.

I did made some map of this type, like >>3488035 and >>3531188. When I made those, I use “hide for 24 hours” function on all players in the map; and I copy the image twice, where in different times I stand at different position so I can hide myself too. And when making big maps like >>3488035, I stitch more than one pieces into one big image ①. But the hide player function has an upper limit, so for maps with a lot of players like >>3535766 (the detailed map of this event), I cannot hide them all, so I keep the players ②.
① I firstly add Allow Right-Click - Microsoft Edge Addons, then do in this method to get pieces (when map is too big, the game won’t show the whole map. The maximum size it show is 2160x3840 when I set the window size as vertical. When setting as horizontal, the size the game shows is also different, but I found that setting as vertical mostly reduce my workload):
large
Then I stitch the pieces into a big image.
② When doing this, I would disable chat bubbles by this:
large

For >>3515684, I also don’t know who made this and how. This indeed looks really awesome: More than no players in it, the water’s wave in different places are the same, which is hard to be done when stitching pieces; and in the game the grass pattern also frequently changes, so stitching pieces will make people see the stitching line, yet in this image the grass is a whole.

My pleasure!
It could be made larger manually. The mini-map itself actually has only 200x200 pixels (no matter zooming in or out), so if make the image 400x400, one former pixel would be 2x2.

Things looks different from what >>3531909’s description says. This event’s map isn’t 6400x4800, but 6656x4800. Yet I saw that this event’s mini-map has the same ratio with PT’s mini-map, and things in both mini-maps are mainly same. Then I guess in this event, a block is stretched horizontally, making its length more than 32 (the height is still 24).
