I never quite understood why complete strangers care what other complete strangers wear. Does it hurt your eyes? Does it impose some kind of penalty or drawback on your life? Or does it merely scratch your sensitive little preconceptions?
Also - I do not agree with Granny Smith frequently being depicted as the old-fashioned crone that defends ‘the old(/right) way of life’. I suppose it plays up to the stereotype of the southern matriarch. I can’t remember her being like that in the show. I always thought she was kinda cool. Kooky, but cool.
