…so I think OP’s logic is, “If you’re unhappy with ponies, and you’re not doing anything for yourself, why are you here? What are you expecting to happen? If you don’t want to fix it, go away. Stop bringing down everyone else.”
 
If people do want help, however, that’s cool. Like I said, I don’t think a comments section will help, but this board does have a private message system. Or one could trade IM info with others and chat offline. Reach out to people and ask for help if you’re not handling it well on your own.
 
I’ve reached out to a couple people just to listen. I make it clear that we don’t have to agree on anything. I just want to make sure we both understand each other. That alone can help so much.

I think there’s a difference between disliking a given thing, and endlessly whining about it without any purpose.
 
To me, if one is spending a lot of time complaining about the same thing, it sounds one needs to go find others—some trusted friends—to have an in-depth, serious discussion with. Yes, I know how much a thing can really bother people. That’s fine. One is not going to find solace in the comments section here, or anywhere.
 
I love ponies because it’s a good show. I’m okay with people having opinions. I like this board, and many other pony sites because they’re fun. It’s getting rather exhausting with how some people have been about the fandom.
 
I think there’s a perception that the unhappy people out there aren’t doing anything for themselves to get past it, because a lot of other people are starting to consider them to be pests. *shrug*

So just because I hate that they made the most self-centered and ignorant character in the show the main character, I automatically hate ponies? Well fuck you too.

You can like ponies without liking Derpygate, alicorn Cadence, the Crystal Empire, Twilicorn, and/or Equestria Girls.
