When a drawing took so much time, like this one did, I just hope it comes out great. I think it did.
Just throwing my theories in. But I think I should explain:
Basicly, changelings looks like ponies, so what if originally they were ponies? What if they feed on other creatures love, because as love and friendship is the biggest magical power in the world of Equestria, it was taken away from them, so they can't use magic for, maybe evil?
I know, it's crazy (and silly), but I kinda like to think about stuff like that.
Also, in this pic Faust's OC was choosen for to be, let's say punisher (probably not the right word), because I always thought of her OC to be the ultimate goddess of the world.
And for last, the queen not necesserly Crysalis, it can be simply the first queen of the changelings.

have you read ‘the Celestia Code?’ (at least that’s what i think it’s called, if my memory serves correctly.
it has a little to do with the origins of the changelings.
or it could be that Platinum ‘ascended’ much like Twilight did, and all records of said event were purged from history…

Would be interesting if it turned out that Princess Platinum is a cursed princess and she was the princess from that “love” story. Her ascension was unexpected and she thought of herself as superior to all.
Perhaps Discord is Starswirl and he wanted to court Princess Platinum with the lovepotion. He found the cure to the potion, but Princess Platinum’s greed shifted from material possessions to immaterial things, love. She fed off the love of her subjects and corrupted them until they all turned into Changelings. Starswirl saw this and went insane, semi-joker style from Batman, and became the Chaotic god we see now.
How this anyways good punishment cause all you do this make they have to monsters.
