I think it was nothing about her design. I think the problem is she didn’t get much personality development in the movie, which I also feel pity for.
I think most fans still like her, looks at the amount of her fanarts, just as I said above, she didn’t have much role in the movie so people don’t have much impression about her as Sunny or Izzy.
It might have to do with the eye color change. In Pipp’s early G5 design her eyes were red.
