Description
Another Studio Ghibli Parody.
It was a lot of bread... A lot of bread... But it was fun shading practice.
This was really fun overall actually xD
Also the original Kiki font was 38$. Nope. So I found a close substitute. Hope it's good enough.
Hope you guys like. =w=

…bread for this.
Oh man, once La Grippe 2020 gets under control enough for theaters to reopen, definitely look around for any showings in your area; I’ve gone with my wife and mother in law and several friends to see Kiki, Totoro, Spirited Away, Princess Kaguya, Laputa, Mononoke Hime, and Arietty the Borrower at a nearby cinema, and they are magic at full size in surround sound. Our Grails are Nausicaa and Porco Rosso, which we missed last time around; I’ve seen both on university-teaching-theater-sized screens and was blown away enough to understand that those are the two which gain the most from being As Big As Possible.
Is that so. I think I’ll want to look into this, then.
The GKIDS distribution company in the US puts a rolling tour of Ghibli movies in theaters every year, usually with both subbed and dubbed versions available, and it is absolutely amazing to see the classics on a big screen.
25th Anniversary concert.
Although that concert focuses mainly on Miyazaki. There are others from that studio that should be seen.

That’s true - although as someone who has seen several different versions of The Borrowers (the BBC children’s series and three different film versions - of which Arrietty is one), I think it was a rather sweet adaptation, and stood out a bit more from the others because of what the Japanese animation and storytelling brought to it. So I guess it’s a case of swings and roundabouts really. :)
It was OK, I’m pretty sure I saw it only once. As it was based on an English source (Mary Norton’s The Borrowers) it just seems less distinctive to me. Same with Howl’s Moving Castle, based on books by Diana Wynne Jones (albeit rather loosely). Part of why I enjoy the other films more are the Japanese cultural traits they embody and display.
@Meanlucario
Right, I meant no human or character antagonist, no “bad guy”.
@Meanlucario
You could argue that cancer is the antagonist of My Neighbor Totoro.
THOSE WERE BLOOMERS
Thoughts on Arrietty? :)
Totoro did have an antagonist, thought: The silent, creeping realization that your childhood will be gone in a few years and time is trembling you with no way to slow it down, let alone stop it.
Kiki is very good, with lots of lovable and relatable characters.
Spirited Away is probably my favorite. The perfect mix of real and fantasy, a heroine who grows, culture and magic.
My Neighbor Totoro is perfect for anybody. A wonderful film with no antagonist, but gorgeous and engaging.
Only ones I’ve seen are the Secret Life of Arrietty (loved it) and Spirited Away (loved it, but was rather confused xD)
Kiki is the second best Ghibli, in my mind, after Mononoke. Maybe tied for 2nd with Nausicaa.
I read that the movie itself is quite a good kids movie.
Hope you’ll turn this into a series for all the Studio Ghibli movies!
