Exactly. And I'm not saying it was all horrible, either.
There were good ideas in the show, there were actually some moments in the movie that gave me a good laugh, and the Mane 5 characters were **great.**
*(I say "Mane 5" because I personally don't count Misty as part of the cast, but even she had her merits.)*
Hasbro just fumbled the bag with G5 too many times. Even though I'm glad it's gone because of how much it felt like a toy commercial instead of a show *(among other reasons)*, I won't deny that it had potential.
~*(Also the G5 IDW comics completely blow the show out of the water, but that's a different can of worms. I will say this, though: the Old Man Discord arc is how you **properly** nostalgia-pander.)*~
