In truth, I think a lot of people are thinking about this wrong. G4 ended five years ago, yet here we all are, on a site made by the community of that show. Just because a show’s run ends, doesn’t mean it’s “dead”. A show is only dead when it’s fans stop caring.
I think a lot of people are taking the G6 leaks and assuming that G5 is over entirely because of that. Honestly, I don’t know. What I do know is that whether or not you love or hate G5, you need to admit that Hasbro mishandled this generation in a way that was wholly unfair to those working on it and the fans who watched it. I hope they learn from this and strive to capture that same lightning in a bottle, either with continued G5 content, or G6 if that’s the route they go.
I don’t care if G5 continues, or G6 comes next, I only care for Sunny and friends to have a good send off. Preferably if they find and meet Twilight in an official manner before they reboot the franchise.

Hasbro just confirmed that both Make Your Mark and Tell Your Tale got cancelled due to low ratings.
Hasbro already knew that G5 was an failure so they didn’t see any point in continuing to waste thousands of dollars on the G5 series, so they just cancelled the whole G5 series because they don’t want to lose even more money on making new G5 episodes.
Sorry, but it’s over.
G5 is officially dead.

I’m sure it’ll last a little bit longer. Remember, they’re only ending Tell Your Tale, not the entirety of G5.
