I keep all the extra Mane 6 figures and toys I get from various collections, along with any blind bag figures where I read the numbers wrong, and take them to conventions to give to little kids who come by my artist alley table. At A-Kon 24 a little seven-eightish stopped at the table with her parents, and she was wearing the most heartbreakingly adorable Apple Bloom cosplay, with overalls and a giant hair bow and a Cutie Mark Crusaders cape (with the special golden silk lining!), so of course I gave her an Applejack figure. She was ooh-ing and aah-ing over a random free toy and that was smile-enforcing enough, but when I told her that now she could carry her tiny little big sister around just like in the episode where Applejack got made tiny by the poison joke flowers, she went all goggle-eyed and started beaming out happiness and sunshine rays so hard I thought she might set the table on fire. She stomped away all proud and shiny and, like, ten times as adorable as before, which may not even have been scientifically possible. Best part of the whole convention.
Man I love Target Audience, they are just the greatest thing in the world.
