The problem with this kind of thinking is that it assumes that people have all the free time to make fluffy content, or that fluffy content is based around an idea of a vicious cycle. This vicious cycle can be imagined in terms of “abusers make edgy content to get a rise out of people, and also for shock content” so for hugboxers to make more content they should “make more content to counter the abusers”. Which leads abusers to making more abuse content to edge out or shock the hugboxers and so on. The problem with this vicious cycle is that its not very rewarding or engaging after a while. Over the years, fluffybooru, and the fluffy pony fandom, had chased out many a hugboxer and morderate. And over time, some of the people who did the edgy content mellowed out, with some cases looking in regret at the edgy and shocking content they made in the past.

So no, the fault is not the hugboxers. Making more content doesn’t solve a toxic environment such as what fluffybooru became.

Blame the hugboxers. There’s an equal number of people who like and hate abuse on the site. The abusers just make more. If hugboxers want more, they should make more!

Most hugboxes wish there was more of these types of images on Fluffybooru, but alas, that dream will never come true.
